Ray Jayne Flores has embraced yoga exploration for nine years. She taught on Catalina Island for four years until her move to Yucca Valley a year ago. She attended Pranayama Weekend at the White Lotus Foundationn in Santa Barbara to celebrate her 50th Birthday in 2005 and returned for their teachers training program with Ganga White and Tracey Rich in March 2007. She also went to the White Lotus to continue her education for Therapeutic Yoga Training with Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal earlier this year.
Her classes have a creative and intuitive flow and she takes her inspiration from many sources. She is honored to share in the yoga adventure with all who practice here. Life goes better with Yoga!

Balance Point Yoga is alignment-based Hatha yoga, inspired by the Iyengar and Anusara traditions. Class sequencing is designed to educate students on the intricacies of body connections in asana. Physical stamina, strength conditioning and flexibility is built in to create growth in your practice, while encouraging students to use this work outside of the studio to support other favorite physical activities. Through balancing the body on the mat, one can translate the work to a more balanced life out of the studio as well, perhaps the greatest benefit of a consistent practice! Tera Lea Surratt RYT has studied Iyengar yoga in Portland, Oregon for more than 12 years and is a nationally certified fitness instructor with a dance foundation. Passionate about understanding body mechanics and appropriate sequencing, she loves exploring the energetic qualities of asana practice and the resulting emotional benefits from yoga.
She completed her 200-hour Hatha teacher training with Sarahjoy Marsh of amrita: a sanctuary for yoga and has also completed several advanced study courses with Todd Jackson of Portland Yoga Arts, her longtime Iyengar instructor.

She has experience guiding the yoga-challenged in flexibility and balance, which translates literally into a flexible and balanced life.
